Pearlformance Concert Series

The Pearlformance concert series brings a variety of performance art pieces to the Northwest Houston community. Each exhibition cycle, the series features a new selection of artists performing in the intimate setting of the museum's Main Gallery.
​All concerts benefit the exhibitions and programs of the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

Danica Dawn Johnston, soprano
Ms. Johnston has gained local, regional and international acclaim for her performances in a wide range of productions in musical theatre, opera, concert and the dramatic stage. She is a three time regional finalist runner-up in the Metropolitan Opera Council National Audition and winner of Charlotte Opera Guild Competition, Greensboro Euterpe Competition and Outstanding Performer of the Year (Regional NATS).  She frequently appears as a guest artist for Houston Symphony Orchestra and many Houston area organizations and has sung the National Anthem for the Houston Texans, Houston Rockets and Houston Marathon. Ms. Curtis electrifies audiences with the power and clarity of her voice and draws listeners in with her passion and artistry.

Kelli Estes, soprano
Leading the musical world’s ginger movement, California red-head, Kelli Estes, is known for singing the high-flying victims, courtesans, and tarts of opera, the turgid, over-complicated soprano solos of oratorio (Handel’s Messiah to Bernstein’s Mass plus all notes in between), the ‘ingénues who don’t dance’ in musical theater (Daisy Mae, Rosabella, Diana Devereaux) and now steps up to the cabaret mic every chance she gets.  Hobbies include: Lone Star Lyric Artistic Director, jogging with her pooch, Nuggs, and blindly renovating her house.

Dr. Roger Keele, piano
Dr. Keele is the Director of Music for St. Matthew’s Methodist Church. Keele is a frequent performer on the FACE Concert Series in NW Houston and at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, and is the founding director of Musique Chez Moi: NW Houston House Concerts, and a founding member of the St. Cecilia Chamber Music Society and the Lone Star Lyric Theater. ​

Daniel Saenz, cello
​Cellist Daniel Saenz has performed and presented master classes throughout South America, Mexico, and the USA. Recent engagements have taken him to internationally renowned venues throughout the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia.  A graduate of the University of Houston, Rice University and the Eastman School of Music, Mr. Saenz is the Assistant Professor of Cello at Sam Houston State University School of Music where he teaches cello, coaches chamber music, and is a member of the Kolonneh String Quartet.
