Summer 2017 Art Camp
at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts:

Contemporary Art Through the Ages

Travel through the ages at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts' Summer 2017 Art Camp!  Art is a common thread among all civilizations and cultures, and every generation has art that is contemporary to its own time.  These one-week camps will explore the different materials, tools, and technology used by ancient cultures of Europe, Australia, Egypt, China, and more.  Students will work on individual projects and group projects, and go home at the end of the week with their own collection of artwork that spans generations.  Find more details about our summer camp options below!

Camp Types
Camps are offered for two different age groups:
  • Junior Campers, ages 8-12:  Two different camps are offered for Junior Campers - 2D and 3D art.  The 2D camp projects include two-dimensional art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media collages.  The three-dimensional camp will include carving, assemblages, sculptures, and installation art.
  • Senior Campers, ages 13-18:  The Senior Camp features a selection of both 2D and 3D art forms at a more advanced level.

Schedule
All camps are one week long and meet Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm at the museum (6815 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77379).  Space in each Summer Art Camp is limited to 16 students.
