The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is delighted to announce that it will open its doors to the community once again beginning Saturday, November 17, 2018. A special Member’s Preview and reception will be held from 10am to 1pm, with official reopening to the public at 1pm. A Preview Party for Patron-level members and above will be held on Friday evening, November 16th at 6:30pm.
“Through the strong support and dedication of the community, the Pearl has been restored,” said Ani Boyajian, Director of the Pearl Fincher MFA. “We look forward to serving the Houston community from the sparkling-new space, with exciting art and educational programming for all to enjoy.”
Located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is in the heart of the Cypress Creek Cultural District. Beginning November 17, hours of operation will be 10am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The museum will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 23rd and open for the public on Saturday, November 24th. Admission is always free, but a suggested donation of $5 per adult is appreciated. Annual memberships are also available starting at just $30, and offer a variety of members-only benefits and special events.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Pearl, and the museum has been restored to the original beauty of its opening day in 2008. Gleaming wood floors, glass gallery doors, and serene exhibition spaces are all back, along with improved spaces for art classes and other events. A special thank you goes to Harris County for the major role they have played in restoring great art and art education within our community.
