The Pearl would like to thank Gehanne Huckaby for her wonderful lecture on intangible heritage. Huckaby even brought some of her traditional Egyptian clothes to display for her lecture. We look forward to having her come speak at the Pearl in the future!
![]() Sunday, March 13th the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts held it's inaugural Pearlformance concert. The Fidelis String Quartet ,accompanied by pianist Sherry Cheng, were the first performers to usher in our new concert series. Compositions by composers Debussy and Mozart were the perfect fit for the French inspired oil paintings of our current exhibition The French Connection: Portraits from a Texas Collection . The Fidelis String Quartet was treated to a standing ovation by museum members and concert goers and promised that the quartet would be back again.
