Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural HeritageThe Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is embarking on new programming that will celebrate the unique and diverse cultures located in the Houston area. The first lecture in this series will be presented by former UNSECO consultant Gehanne Huckaby. Huckaby’s lecture, Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, will be a discussion on performance art, oral traditions, and other forms of art that extends beyond the tangible.

About Gehanna HuckabyGehanne Huckaby is a Cross-Cultural Training Consultant for Cartus Intercultural & Language Solutions. She was born in Cairo, Egypt, lived in Switzerland and France, has traveled throughout the world and since July 2011 resides in Houston. Gehanne is French-educated, having graduated high school from the Sacred-Heart School and received her BA in Egyptology.
