January 16 - May 14, 2016 The French Connection: Portraits from a Texas Collection showcases masterworks by a large variety of artists from around the world, all with a common theme. The French Connection illustrates the immense influence the French artists of the 18th and 19th centuries had on the techniques of masters in Russia, Scotland, Belgium, England, Italy, and America, to name a few. Artists represented in this exhibition include William Adolphe Bouguereau, Nicolas de Largilliere, Sir Anthony Van Dyck, John Singleton Copley, Franz Xaver Winterhalter, and Antoine-Jean Gros. This unique collection of artworks will remain on display in the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts Main Gallery from January 16, 2016 until May 14, 2016. |
