Summer Art Camp Instructor, Summer 2023
​
The Pearl Fincher Museum seeks two employees as seasonal,
camp counselors for our upcoming Summer Art Camps. This is a terrific opportunity for dynamic,
high-energy applicants who are interested in K-12 education, fine arts, or museum education.

Qualifications: 
CPR Certification (preferred)
First Aid Certification (preferred)
Prior experience working with children or families (1-2 years)
Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Art enthusiast - while previous art making experience is preferred, it isn’t required
  • Ability to lead a classroom of up to 15 students
  • A prompt, professional, and collaborative manner
  • Preferable Bachelors degree or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
  • Availability Monday-Friday, May 30 - August 11, 2023
  • Available, prior to the start of camp for on-site training and orientation
Duties: 
Prepare and organize art materials as instructed and lead learning experiences in the classroom
  • Keep campers, ages 5 - 12 years old, engaged and interested
  • Lead campers to activities and teach art lessons in a variety of mediums. 
  • Assist guest teaching artists
  • Follow and execute activities according to the direction of Pearl Fincher Museum Education staff
  • Display a positive and respectful attitude while acting as a role model
  • Interact with kids and adults in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicate effectively and show integrity as a museum representative both on and off

site 
  • Follow procedures and expectations as outlined by Pearl Fincher Education Staff
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Other duties as assigned

$5 suggested donation for adult visitors
10am - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday
CLOSED Sunday & Monday

Closed on Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, 
Christmas, and New Year's Day
