Art Start
Join us for our newest program! Art Start will introduce preschool-aged children to visual learning and creative expression in weekly sessions.

The class will consist of storytime and a related art activity. Each session is limited to 10 children, and is recommended for ages 5 and under.

Schedule:
Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 10:45 am.

RSVP is required by registering on Eventbrite. If the event shows it is sold out,  please call us at 281-376-6322 and we will add you if we have had cancellations. Registration is handled for each class individually; it is not required to attend all sessions.

Check out the March session schedule below, and stay tuned for more sessions!

March 7 A Penny's Worth
Just in time for Global Money week, are pennies, worthless? Non-cents! Readers will laugh at a wealth of money puns, learn a basic lesson on US currency, and discover that self-worth is truly priceless. Make a personalized penny spinner.

March 14 The Perfect Siesta
Kids will laugh with exotic animals trying to nap just before they do! It is very hot in the jungle and suddenly a nice breeze arrives. The jaguar wants to take a siesta. See what happens next! Create a sleepy sloth friend.

March 21 Love Made Me More
An unexpectedly heartfelt tale of a friendship between a boy and an origami crane that continues throughout the boy’s life. When a boy’s grandmother shows him how to fold an origami crane, the boy and crane become instant friends. They sail around the room and play, but the crane also watches over the boy and comforts him in a time of loss. Create a decorative paper crane.

March 28 Little Doctor and the Fearless Beast
Crocodiles come from far and wide to seek Little Doctor’s care. She treats each one with skill and kindness―even the toughest crocs with thick skins and large, powerful jaws. Make a crocodile puppet.
