About The Pearl

Since opening to the public in March 2008, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has established itself as a community resource bringing world-class art exhibitions and art education opportunities to the Northwest Houston community.

The Pearl is a non-collecting fine art museum, borrowing from public and private collections. The museum complements its exhibitions with an active schedule of programs and services. Founded on the community center concept, the Pearl reaches beyond traditional museums to enlighten, educate, and entertain.

The Pearl is housed in a former county library, leased to the museum and renovated through private funds, grants, and gifts. The Pearl is wholly supported through the community. Over 3,000 donors have given to the museum to date.

Floral Exhibition

Floral Exhibit Open to Public: Saturday March 16th 10am-5pm Free viewing

The Society for the Advancement of Floral Design are proud to present a floral arrangement show in collaboration with the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. These floral artists and their works are inspired by the exhibitions Post-Impressionist Exploration, Cobalt Blue: Unveiling the Beauty of Flow Blue, and Rooted in Rock. They find inspiration through the artwork and then create their own story through their unique style and floral techniques.

Summer Camp

This summer, the Pearl is excited to present a brand new exhibition, “The Toy Canvas: Artists at Play.” Surrounded by the magic of play and the infinite possibilities of our imagination, campers will be inspired to head back to their studio classrooms and create their own works of art.

Campers explore new mediums, techniques, and principles of art through hands-on visual art lessons, outdoor activities, and special instruction from guest artists. Through it all, they learn the principles of art, artistic processes, art history and more.

Early bird registration discount available for the month of March!

Pearl School of Art

Small classes increase student interactions with talented faculty members. A distinguishing feature of the art classes at the Pearl School of Art is ready access to works of orginal art on exhibition at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

Youth Classes

When children get a chance to express their creativity and dive into art, they develop confidence, increase their empathy, and discover how to look at the world from different perspectives. All those skills help prepare students to take on the world with passion and creativity.

Adult Classes

Artistic and creative expression offers many benefits. You’re busy with work and life demands, so fitting in an art class might be challenging. But, nurturing your creative side is essential to your well-being — not to mention lots of fun!

Art Workshops

Art Workshops are designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome! Artist instructors offer a variety of workshops throughout the year exploring different media and techniques. Typically, one daytime or two evening sessions are offered for each workshop.

For Preschool ages 3-5

Little Art Historians

Join us every Wednesday morning during April for Little Art Historians taught by the talented Mrs. Brooke. In this class, creativity and art history comes alive as we dress up, sing songs, create crafts and read story books on famous artists throughout history.

*NEW* This season you can register a la carte for 1 or multiple classes. Individual classes are $15 or save money by registering for the whole month for $45.

Wednesdays, 10:00-10:45am
